How to Recognize Self-Sabotage Behavior

If you’re not experiencing the kind of success you want, it’s possible that you’re experiencing some self-sabotaging actions. If you’re engaging in these types of behaviors then it’s important to identify what you’re doing and turn it around.

The Waiting Game

If you’ve ever heard yourself say “I’ll be do that when xyz” then end it now. “When I lose weight I’ll go hiking.” “When I finish this client’s work I’ll write my novel.” It’s all quite logical, but it’s a game which will never be finished. If you don’t take action today, nothing will ever happen.

You are surrounded by the False People

In fact, even as an adult, it’s possible to pick the wrong people. If you find yourself constantly at odds with your friends with regards to their beliefs and values in your life, or you’re constantly apologizing for other people’s behavior You’re just trying to make excuses to avoid an uncomfortable conclusion. You’ve outgrown the people you’re with.

Saying: “I’ll never… “

Complete the sentence about the things you don’t say and do or feel. In reality, if your belief is that you won’t be successful with your business or lose that excess weight, you won’t. You have to envision the success you want to see happen. If everything your vision is negative this is what you’ll end up with.

I Don’t Want to”It” Alone “It” Alone

We’re all alone. If you wait for everyone to be in the same boat as yourself, you may miss out on a great new adventure. If it’s about starting a new company, watching a movie or trying a new eatery, you can take on the task yourself, without anyone else being involved.

Believing Yourself “Smart” As…

Someone is always going to be smarter, prettier, or have more to offer than you. When you say that you’re not someone, you will have an issue to break out of the rut that you’ve put yourself into. You must let go of the person you believe you are, and simply do what it is that you want to do. It’s not necessary to be perfect.

You Forget Your Feelings

If someone asks you questions about your feelings, just say “I’m fine”and just leave it at that, even when you’re not. Did you know that it’s possible to be stuck in a particular way of thinking if you keep it to yourself and don’t talk about it? You must identify the problem to make it easier to break it.

My Client Has Needed Me

Anyone can be replaced. If you find that it’s a good idea to work with someone just because you believe they’re in need of you, even when it’s not working out for you, you’re really wasting your time. Anyone who’s not compatible with you will leave your company the minute they meet another person they’re comfortable with. Do not do anyone a favor unless you really just would like to.

You’re Without a Support System

Support can come in many ways, from personal support to electronic support. If you establish an effective system that helps keep to your plan (whether it’s to work or for pleasure) and also seek assistance when you need it, you will succeed more than if you don’t do that.
